I need accessibility into the bath, but I still want to be able to use the tub as a full bath. What should I do?

For full bath functionality while still having a step-through tub, we recommend the Safety Tub Step Combo model. It comes with a removable center plug that locks on and off in seconds, allowing the user to transition from step-in shower to full bath. This allows you to keep the future value of the tub and is great for multi-generational homes and changing needs.

What would my new step-through height be with an American Standard insert installed?

American Standard offers a variety of products to fit various tub sizes and depths to provide the lowest step-in height possible.

What is the product made of?

All American Standard tub inserts are made of composite polyethylene plastic – an extremely durable and rugged plastic.

My tub has sliding shower doors. Can I still get an American Standard tub insert installed?

Yes – the sliding doors will just have to be removed prior to installation. We recommend purchasing a new shower curtain in place of the doors.
